“My wife and I recently completed the NAC’s Commit to Get Fit program with great success. We did not expect such noticeable results or to learn as much as we did. Based on our past experience, we thought we knew just about all there was to know about food, nutrition, and exercise. We were very wrong.
While we both enjoyed the different exercise classes, the strength of the program was the one hour classroom sessions each week. The program materials were well designed, easy to follow, and chock full of information. The materials were presented by you in an easy manner and we are grateful for your acceptance of numerous questions. Nina was a great addition in the area of nutrition and physiology. The NAC’s fitness professionals are a great team! Most of all, the teaching style kept the class moving and on point when it threatened to devolve into social hour.
We both enjoyed the opportunity to sample 13 exercise classes of all different types. I was surprised that I enjoyed the Spin and Yoga classes. An area that has plagued me my whole life is flexibility and I’m going to keep up with an occasional yoga class. Bar, Six Zone, and Team Training were also my favorites. Carrie was very fond of the variety, especially Team Training and Pilates.
The focus on getting healthy, instead of pure weight loss, was a real plus. We both feel that the length of the program put us in a position to make clean eating and routine exercise something that we’ll do for the rest of our lives. We would both highly recommend doing this program as a couple. The reinforcement between the two of us was a huge help, as was another pair of eyes to look at labels, prepare food, and exercise motivation.
Finally, the health metrics changes for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, lost inches, flexibility and so forth were truly astonishing. We could not be more pleased and are very thankful that we entered the program.”
