Pilates Classes FAQ

Class levels range from Pilates for beginners to advanced Pilates, for ever-changing challenges.

Intro to Reformer is offered multiple times per week to learn the basics of the core principles behind all classes, proper reformer set up, as well as form. This class teaches the foundation of all other classes and still provides a workout. All members must take this course at least one time prior to taking any other classes.

Reformer Pilates classes in the Reform studio holds 13 participants at a time.

Reservations begin 25 hours prior to all classes and are required for all Pilates classes.

Reservations can only be made online or on the NAC app. An automatic wait list will automatically sign members up as another one cancels.

Reform Classes

Learn the basics of the core principles behind all classes, proper reformer set up, and form. This class teaches the foundation of all other classes and still provides a workout. All members must take this course at least one time prior to taking any other reformer classes.

Great if you are newer to Pilates or the reformer. This class is designed to systematically increase the range of motion in the joints, to increase muscle tone, to correctly align the body, increase energy and core strength. You will move in all planes of the body and learn how to stretch an strengthen at the same time. A great preparatory class to build strength and stamina in preparation for the Reformer Flow 2 class. While it is a slower paced flowing class, it still remains a very challenging workout! Must take Intro to Reformer first.

This is an advanced reformer class. You will build off the foundational exercises of a Level 1 class, performing more challenging sequences, utilizing a variety of props (circle, weights, ball, box, dowel, theraband) to enhance and further challenge your Pilates experience. Attention is paid to toning the whole body. The pace is quick and flowing, so you’ll leave feeling long, lean, and toned. It is recommended that you have prior reformer experience before choosing this class. Must have taken Intro to Reformer and Flow 1 before Flow 2.

This energy packed class utilizes the jumpboard for an added cardio element to the traditional Pilates reformer work, keeping your heart rate elevated. In this class students will engage in blocks of cardio on the jumpboard as well as Pilates core work. This class can be modified to accommodate a variety of fitness levels, just speck to your instructor before class begins. Must take Intro to Reformer prior.

A series of dynamic flowing movements performed with controlled breathing using body weight resistance to build core strength as well as increased mobility and flexibility.

Tower Classes

A beginner-friendly class designed to introduce the Pilates Tower system. Sculpt Tower Foundations focuses on proper setup, alignment, and controlled movement using springs, bars, and straps. Expect a slower pace, detailed instruction, and full-body strength work that builds confidence and prepares you for the next level tower class.
