NAC Outdoor Pools and Escape Hours | Update

Effective April 19, 2016

If we experience a minor bout of warm weather, we will let you know via email if we can open Escape for extended hours.
Important Notes:

  • Only adults over age 21 may use the Adult Pool.
  • Members may have their families and small children eat with them in the Escape dining area until 6pm only.

Non-members who wish to enjoy food and beverage services at Escape Bar & Restaurant must pay a guest fee on weekends . Escape Bar and Restaurant offers a selection of lunch, dinner, appetizer and cocktail items served to you poolside for your convenience and enjoyment in a resort style setting.

 

Pool Rules

  • All swimmers are asked to shower prior to entering the pool.
  • All swimmers must wear appropriate swim attire. Clothing such as cutoffs and underwear are not permitted as swimwear. T-shirts (including those for modesty or sun protection) are not permitted. Rashguards, which are more tight-fitting, designed for in water use and which offer protection from the sun, will be permitted.
  • Persons with infections or diseases that may be transmitted by the pool water are prohibited.
  • No smoking anywhere within the facility.
  • The pool will close in the event of severe weather conditions (including, but not limited to; thunder, lightning, and heavy rain) for at least 30 minutes.
  • No climbing or hanging on pool railings.
  • Children who are not yet toilet trained are not allowed in the pool without swim diapers or rubber swim pants.
  • Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult that is in the pool within arm’s reach at all times.
  • Children ages 6-9 must be accompanied by an adult that is within the pool area.
  • No glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
  • Coolers are prohibited within the pool area.
  • Alcoholic beverages may only be purchased within the facility.
  • Profanity, improper behavior, intoxication, and vulgar remarks are prohibited.
  • There is no running, diving or horseplay anywhere in our pools.
  • No outside pool toys, floats, etc.
  • All life jackets or flotation devices must be United States Coast Guard approved.
  • No “water wings” or other inflatable personal floatation devices will be permitted.
  • Any lifeguard or MOD has the ability to dismiss any patron acting in a disruptive behavior.

Slide A Rules

ENTRY STATION

  • Maximum operational load: 1 person, 300 lbs (136kg).
  • Children under 48 inches (1.22 m) tall are not permitted on this ride.
  • Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  • Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  • Only one rider to enter the flume at a time. Single Riders only!
  • Never form chains.
  • Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back or in a sitting position (sit up to go slower, lie down to go faster).
  • No head first sliding.
  • Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride.
  • Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
  • Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  • At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

SPLASH POOL

  • Do not block the end of the slide.
  • Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly.
  • No swimming or flotation devices allowed in the splash pool.

Slide B Rules

ENTRY STATION

  • Maximum operational load 2 persons, 400 lbs (182 kg). Maximum individual rider weight 300 lbs.
  • Children under 48 inches (1.22 m) tall are not permitted on this ride.
  • Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  • Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  • Only one inner tube to enter the flume at a time.
  • Never form chains.
  • Tubes should be ridden in a seated position, facing forward.
  • Riders must stay on the tubes during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube continue down on the flume without it and exit normally.
  • Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride.
  • Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
  • Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  • At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly, taking your tube with you.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

EXIT STATION

  • Do not block the end of the slide.
  • Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly.
  • No swimming allowed in the splash pool.

Spa Rules

  • Pregnant women, elderly persons, small children, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure should consult a physician before using the facility.
  • Risk of drowning- Do not use the hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other drugs that cause sleepiness, drowsiness, or raise/lower blood pressure.
  • Do not use the hot tub if the temperature is above 104 degrees F.
  • Enter and exit slowly.
  • Do not use alone.
  • Overexposure to hot water may cause nausea, dizziness, and fainting.  Exit the spa if you experience nausea or dizziness.
  • Observe a reasonable time limit. Exit after 10-15 minutes and cool down before re-entering.
  • Keep all breakable objects out of the hot tub area.
  • Never place electrical appliances such as radios, TV, telephones within five (5) feet of the hot tub.
  • Do not use or operate the hot tub if the suction fitting is missing, broken, or loose.

Splash Pad Rules

  • Splash Pad surface may be slippery when wet, use caution, footwear is strongly encouraged.
  • Children 10 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained.
  • Do not swing, hang, pull, climb on or throw objects at spray equipment
  • The NAC is not responsible for lost or stolen items
  • No skateboarding, rollerblading, bicycling, scooters, pets, baby strollers, water balloons, beach balls, or toys are allowed in and around the Splash Pad area.
  • All participants must conduct themselves in a well-mannered and safe manner. The NAC reserves the right to removed parties from the Splash Pad that are not in compliance with the Splash Pad rules.
  • No food is allowed in or on the Splash Pad area.
  • Please clear or exit the area when conditions for lightning are possible.
