Trick or treat, give me something sweet to eat!
These easy Halloween dessert ideas are perfect for getting in the spirit of the season. Make things a little spookier this Halloween with these minimal ingredient Halloween treats! Best of all, all of the treats are easy enough for kids to help with!
Ghost Smores Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag ghost marshmallows (or 4 packages ghost Peeps)
- 2 c. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. Heavy cream, warmed
- Graham crackers, for serving
- Mini chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450°. In the bottom of a 9-inch baking dish (or pie dish), spread out chocolate chips and pour cream on top. Cover completely with a single layer of ghost marshmallows. Place mini chocolate chips over eyes and mouth. (The already-drawn faces will fade in the oven.)
- Bake until the chocolate has melted and the ghosts are golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with graham crackers for dipping.
Reese’s Bats
Ingredients:
- 10 Mini Reese’s cups
- 5 Oreos
- 20 Candy eyes
- 1 tbsp. Peanut butter
Directions:
- Cut all Oreo cookies in half and gently remove the cream. Cut each half in half to create the wings.
- Using a toothpick or small spoon, apply a small dab of peanut butter to one end of each Oreo. Press onto the Reese’s cup to make wings.
- Next, place a small dab of peanut butter onto the back of two candy eyes and place on top of the edge of the wings & serve!
Monster Cookies
Ingredients:
- 12 Oreo cookies
- 1 cup purple, green & brown candy melts
- 3 tsp coconut oil
- Multi-colored sprinkles
- 15–20 candy google eyes
- Black decorating frosting
Directions:
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
- Place each candy melt color into a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 tsp of coconut oil in each bowl.
- Microwave candy in 30-second intervals until completely melted.
- With the help of a fork, dip each Oreo cookie in a bowl of melted candy. Once completely coated, place gently on a lined baking sheet.
- Decorate your coated cookies with sprinkles (they will act as your monster’s hair!) and an eye (or two!)
