A deserving group of young talent, selected by the IHRSA (International Health Racquet and Sportsclub Association) and CBIeditorial teams, will be profiled in the March 2019 issue of Club Business International and featured on IHRSA’s social media.

Last year’s class of Rising Stars was a diverse bunch, ranging from a general manager in New York to concept director in France. They also recognized professionals in sales, personal training, marketing, and business development from both health clubs and supplier companies.

To qualify the nominee must be under 36 years of age and an IHRSA member in good standing.

Our very own Amanda Brown, currently the NAC Director of Operations, has received this remarkable recognition.  She was selected by colleagues in the industry who have noted her talent and determination which have supported her meteoric rise, not only in the ranks of the NAC organization, but also as a recognized expert in the industry.

Amanda began her NAC career at the tender young age of 14 when she began working as an assistant in the NAC Summer Camp program.  She has always remained a part of the NAC even while attending college and ultimately decided to pursue her career in the fitness industry as part of our management team.

At this juncture, after having developed a highly successful Summer Camp Program (one of the most successful in the industry) and having overseen the NAC award winning youth programs she is the Director of Operations, overseeing training and development along with overall departmental operations.

Not to rest on any of her laurels, Amanda is also spearheading the development of the NAC’s newest venture, a full service licensed pre-school (Newtown Discovery PreSchool) located at the adjacent property and building (which we own) at the end of the NAC parking lot on Blacksmith Circle.  Planned opening for this project is September 2019.

Amanda has spoken at the IHRSA Annual International Conference and is a contributing writer for several industry trade journals.  She is generous with her expertise and the industry has taken notice.

We are thrilled that she is being recognized as an IHRSA Rising Star for 2019 and are lucky to have her on our team.
