This week, we kicked off the Genavix 90 Day Commit To Get Fit employee pilot program!
What is Genavix? This is not a diet. This is not a workout plan. It is a 13-week comprehensive wellness program run by certified wellness coaches and personal trainers here at the NAC. The program is designed to provide an education to enrich your life and help you become a healthier you!
Amanda Brown, NAC Youth Programs director, tells us how she has already begun to modify her habits (and enjoying them!) after just one week:
Work out in groups! Since we started the 90 Day Commit to get Fit program I have had 15 new friends who have the same goals in mind as I do. Every time I see one of them around the club we are talking about food, keeping each other from eating anything that may be bad for us, and planning our next workout. Since the program started Tuesday I have worked out everyday with one of my group members!
Clean eating is important! Kelly Jones, NAC RD, talked to us during the nutrition portion about eating clean and actually reading the ingredients on the back of an item. Can you actually understand what is in the food? Is it made of all chemicals? Make sure you look!
You really can work out anytime! Our first workout of the program with lead trainer Paul Rushin was all with body weight. That made me realize that there is never an excuse to not workout, even if its just for 15 minutes. The next day, the entire group was sore and we didn’t use one piece of equipment.
All the details on the Genavix program on our website! The program is available to both NAC members & non-members.
The Healthy Care 90 Day Commit To Get Fit Program will launch Monday, February 8!
