Fit Tip Friday: 3 Reasons to Have an Active Dynamic Warm-Up

This week we spoke with Sean Hall, Parisi Co-Director, to discuss the importance of a proper warm-up.  #FTF #FitTipFriday

You really want to prime your body for the workout. It is important to get focused, and warm up your muscles that need to be.  A simple jog might not loosen up the muscles you’ll be working. You should be in a full sweat by the time you’re ready to workout.

Here are 3 reasons to have an active dynamic warm up!

1. Optimal Performance
Your body will perform at a higher level when you’re properly warmed up. Everybody wants to run their fastest 40, and it starts with your warm-up!
2. Firing Up Your Central Nervous System
Your mind will be in tune with your body. You can activate your CNS by using plyometrics or other explosive movements.
3. Injury Prevention
Stretching the prime movers for a sprint is critical- nobody likes to pull a hamstring or a tight hip flexor.
