Meet Our Social Media Intern!

Hi everyone!

My name is Christy Nunn and I am the new Fitness Social Media/Marketing Intern here at the NAC.

I just completed my Sophomore year at Penn State University with a major in Advertising and a minor in Information Sciences and Technology.

I am super excited to learn from some of the best in the fitness industry over the summer!  It has only been a week and the NAC has trusted me to get active on their social media sites.  I am thrilled with the direction as well as the creative freedom to apply what I have learned in school and through the club ISTCG (Information Sciences and Technology Consulting Group) at PSU to the NAC’s social media and marketing strategy.

On Saturday I proposed a new idea called, “Which Group Ex Will I Try Next?” I couldn’t believe the NAC has over 200 group ex classes a week!  I definitely want to try all we have to offer and help all of you learn more about the classes too!  You can follow my experience with the hash tag #WhichGroupExWillITryNext & feel free to comment or tweet me with your suggestions.

I will also head the #WhyGetActive social media movement.   A few weeks ago, the 2015 Participation Report by the Physical Activity Council announced the bad news that 82.7 million Americans were inactive in 2014.  As a health club community, reversing this trend is important.  Getting more people physically active is good for our community and the reason why we want to join this movement.  I will be walking around the club asking you to help us spread the word on why we get active at the NAC!  Share your story to @newtownac with the hashtag #WhyGetActive.

Please feel free to email me with anything you want to see more of on our social media pages: Christynunnac@gmail.com
