What is UFIT?

u-fit-transformation-logoThe Newtown Athletic Club is excited to expand our community through a program inspired by UFIT (Universal Fitness Innovation & Transformation).  UFIT is a global social change movement focused on inclusion of people with all abilities within the fitness community.

The NAC has been selected to pilot the UFIT program which consists of 12 weeks of personal training for our friends living with Cerebral Palsy or Multiple Sclerosis. Each personal trainer holds a UFIT certificate and will provide a supervised exercise experience with doctor’s approval. Our goal is to provide access to a healthy lifestyle for people will all abilities.

The NAC will be launching the UFIT pilot program in May.

Who can participate?

While people of all abilities are welcome at the NAC, the current pilot program will be specifically for those living with Cerebral Palsy (CP) or Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Other abilities will be included after the completion of the initial pilot.

*The pilot program will accommodate 20 participants. After submitting your enrollment information you will be contacted with your status in the program.
