Barre is a low-impact form of exercise that combines elements of ballet, Pilates and yoga. It involves performing a series of small, controlled movements that are designed to create long, lean muscles and improve overall strength and flexibility.

Barre Lab, adjacent to our boutique strength studio on Studio Row, offers specialty small group barre classes for 18 participants at a time.

Featuring floor to ceiling curved glass & mirrors, handcrafted wooden barres, and top of the line equipment, this stylish 1,000 sq. ft. boutique studio provides a unique and powerful workout experience.

Strength

Barre Strength focuses on building muscular strength and endurance by incorporating intense isometric holds and targeted resistance exercises. This class utilizes small, controlled movements and bodyweight exercises, often using props like resistance bands or light weights. It aims to tone and sculpt muscles, particularly targeting core, arms, thighs, and glutes, while also improving overall strength and stability.

Cardio

Barre Cardio is a high-energy workout that infuses traditional barre exercises with cardiovascular intervals. This class incorporates quick-paced movements, bursts of cardio, and dynamic exercises aimed at elevating the heart rate. It combines elements of strength training, dance, and cardio to provide a full-body workout, enhancing endurance, burning calories, and promoting cardiovascular health.

Fusion

Barre Fusion is a harmonious blend of ballet-inspired movements, strength training, flexibility, and cardio movements. This dynamic and engaging workout is designed to sculpt, tone, and invigorate your entire body while fostering a mind-body connection that leaves you feeling empowered and revitalized.

Our experienced instructors lead dynamic barre classes that blend elements of ballet, Pilates and yoga; with a focus on strength, cardio and flow.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced barre enthusiast, we have a class for you. We keep our classes small to ensure personalized attention and support. All barre classes are included in membership.

Barre Classes FAQ

Barre fitness is a low-impact workout that combines elements of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training to sculpt and tone the body.

Barre Strength, Barre Cardio, Barre Fusion, and our intro class, Barre Foundations.

Other classes offered in Barre Lab include TRX Strength, a unique class type that incorporates body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. View Schedule >>

Classes usually last 45-60 minutes, depending on the specific class type and format.

Floor-mounted barre, weighted balls (soft), resistance bands, and mats.

Wear comfortable workout attire, such as leggings or athletic shorts, and a fitted top. Socks with grip are typically recommended.

Reservations begin 24 hours prior to all classes and are required for all barre classes.

Reservations can only be made online or on the NAC app. An automatic wait list will automatically sign members up as another one cancels.
