Safety is Our Top Priority!
Hi! My name is Katie Blemings and I am the Aquatics Coordinator here at the Newtown Athletic Club. The health and safety of our participants (including our instructors) is our top priority! Our small class size ensures safety and very personal attention. Our instructors challenge the children in a way that they enjoy learning.
The Newtown Athletic Club will always strive to be unmatched in the flexibility of scheduling and ease of registration. From the family locker room to the warm water pool, our facilities will evolve in order to continue leading the field of swim instruction.

NAC Attack Youth Swim Team
One piece bathing suit. Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper in order to enter the pool. We suggest everyone shower before entering the pool. Flotation devices and goggles are welcome at the lifeguards’ discretion.
Parents must check their child in with their instructor and remain in the building for the length of the entire lesson. To ensure the child’s complete concentration during their lesson it is recommended that parents observe class from the observation area. Parents of children who are new to the program will be permitted on the deck until the child feels comfortable.
Make-Up and Credit Policy
There are no make-ups, refunds or credits for missed classes without a doctor’s note. If a class is cancelled due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, Newtown Athletic Club will notify you of the rescheduled date and time.
Newtown Athletic Club reserves the right to cancel or change program schedules due to low enrollment. Participants who cancel one week prior to the start of a fee-based session may submit a credit request. Refunds will not be given for programs cancelled by participants. Participants who have a doctor’s not verifying missed days due to an injury or illness may submit a credit/refund request. All credit/refund requests are subject to a $20 processing fee.
