Parent Involvement- Parental involvement is critical for your child’s development and the success of our program. For the time trials and meets we will need volunteers to work as timers and other positions. Week to week involvement is also encouraged. Ask both your child and the coaches questions (though please wait until after practice to speak with the coaches). Most importantly, encourage your swimmer and be supportive of their progress! We want all swimmers to have fun and positive reinforcement from you is critical to this goal.
Swim Meets- Our goal is to encourage each child to do their best and make personal progress and improvement. To this end we will participate in a number of swim meets that are focused on individual events. We understand that not all swimmers will be able to make all events but we encourage participation in as many meets as possible. Our goal as a team is to attend one meet per month beginning in October. Parents will receive meet information in advance and if they would like their children to participate in that specific meet, they must turn in the meet entry and additional fees at the appropriate time in order to be entered into the meet. A meet calendar with proposed meets will be posted toward the end of the first month of swimming.
