NAC Rules and Regulations

Member Check-in:
Members must present their membership card to check in at the front desk.
Guest Check-in:
Guests must pay the appropriate guest fee upon checking in at the front desk. Guests may visit up to 3 times in a given month. All guests must register in the NAC guest log, and provide a current driver’s license.
Membership Card Replacement:
If you lose your card, the NAC requires a minor service charge for replacement.
Membership Monthly Fees Annual Increase:
The membership monthly fees are increased for all members on an annual basis on the January 18th billing for February. This increase is kept to a nominal amount. The increase will appear on your credit card or financial institution statement which serves as your method of payment to the NAC.
Club Usage Age Guidelines:
Members must abide by the usage guidelines for age restrictions:
Lockers:
Each member will be expected to provide their own lock to secure their valuables. The NAC reserves the right to remove locks after closing and dispose of remaining articles on a daily basis. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Towels:
Sport and bathing towels are provided as a complimentary service by the NAC and may be picked up at the desk or in the locker rooms.
Attire:
The NAC recommends comfortable and appropriate exercise clothing to be worn during all exercise activities. The NAC reserves the right to determine the acceptability of all exercise attire.
Special Events:
The NAC will offer clinics, lectures, demonstrations, and other activities for our members and respectfully reserves the right to reserve specific areas of the building for these purposes with advance notification for our member’s convenience.
Policy Changes:
In the event of any changes in policies and procedures/services concerning the operations of the NAC, a posting will be made for our member’s convenience and understanding.
Solicitation on the Premises:
Solicitation of products or services in any form is prohibited in the club or on the club’s property by members, guests, or employees, unless pre-arranged through the NAC marketing department.
Conduct:
In order to insure the safety and enjoyment of all our members the Club has established a code or Conduct for its members and guests. The Club reserves the right to revoke membership or expel an individual for any improper conduct (as defined by management) in the Club. Specific infractions may include, but are not limited to:
A. fighting or horseplay
B. use of offensive language
C. spiting
D. behavior that is deemed by management as offensive to other
members, or creates a situation that is considered to be unsafe
E. unauthorized solicitation and/or distribution
F. failure to pay a club bill on a timely basis
G. theft or damage of club property, including towels
In all cases regarding conduct, the club determines the acceptability of such conduct as it relates to continuance of membership.
Violations of Rules and Regulations:
If any member willfully and knowingly violates any of the regulations listed above or herewith posted, the NAC may terminate that member’s right to use the facilities and services. The NAC will not be responsible for refunds of enrollment fees or dues because of termination.
Compliments and Critiques:
The NAC staff welcomes your suggestions at any time and encourages you to use the comment cards located throughout the club to communicate your ideas, or simply speak with a manager at any time.
Youth Program Rules and Regulations
Weather policy: For weather related school closings, we follow the Council Rock School District policy. For delayed openings there will be no morning youth programs, for full day closings, there will be no youth programs all day and for early dismissals consult the NAC web site www.newtowathletic.com.
Children who miss 2 or more classes without notification will be dropped from their class.
Refunds will not be given at any time for programs canceled by participants, unless a physician’s note is submitted with a refund request.
Cancellations after the start of the session will not receive a refund or credit.
No make ups are permitted for missed classes.
Parents are not permitted to leave the building while their child is in a class, unless their child’s class exceeds 90 minutes, in which case they must inform the instructor.
Warms ups are important; students more than 10 minutes late to class are not permitted to enter the class, no exceptions.
Parents must walk their child into the building for their class, unless their child is 10 years or older.
Children who are ill will not be permitted to participate in class according to the instructor’s discretion.
Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) Privacy Policy
It is the goal of the Newtown Athletic Club to provide top level service to our members and guests, protecting your personal information is critical to this goal. As such the NAC has adopted the following privacy policy that applies to information it acquires while conducting business:
1) We will not collect any more information about members and guests than is required by law or necessary to provide high level services and products.
2) All access to collected information is restricted to only those employees who need the information in order to carry out their jobs.
3) We will store all sensitive information in a secure manor that meets all legal requirements and is consistent with a high level of customer service.
4) We will not disclose personally identifiable information about our members and guests to third parties unless compelled to do so by law or we have the expressed consent of the member/guest.
5) When we conduct business with other companies we will restrict their access to members’ and guests’ information that is not critical to the normal course of business and will make every reasonable effort to ensure that they use any information in a manner that is consistent with this privacy policy.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
— The NAC reserves the right to cancel or change program schedules due to low enrollment
— Participant who cancels one week prior to the start of a fee-based session may submit a credit request with a $20 processing fee
— Cancellations after the start of the session will not receive a refund or credit, unless a physicians’ note is provided with the request
— Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes late cannot be admitted to a class or lesson
